About Me

If you must know one thing about me, know this: I absolutely love to teach. Not only is teaching and getting to know my students one of my many passions but it is my privilege doing so. As your teacher, I aspire to make however long of a time you are in my classroom profitable and to leave with great experiences for you.  I originally am from Fort Worth, Texas but have called McAllen, Texas home for the past 13 years now.
I am a University of Texas Pan American graduate and hold a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Special Education. In  May 2016, I obtained my Masters in Educational Administration. My experience in the field of education commenced in the year of 2007 when I was fortunate enough to be hired as a teacher aide at B.L. Gray Jr high School. While at B.L. Gray, I was mentored by its amazing faculty whom I learned a lot from. After 3 years at B.L. Gray, I was once again blessed with having been given the opportunity of my first teaching position here at Sharyland's AEP Campus and after 7 years teaching her I know I wouldn't want to be any where else!
When I am not preparing for school, I enjoy caring for and serving my family, spending as much quality time with my nephews as well as working on furthering my own personal educational goals. I recently became a mom to a beautiful little girl named Scarlett Quinn Bennett. This little soul has single-handedly made my husband and my life worth while. We now have an even bigger purpose in this life, which is to do good by her.
